Daura bubbles as NTA STARTIMES network berths




Daura, one of the ancient cities in Hausa land and historical centre of heritage, witnessed a beehive of activities last weekend when NTA STARTIMES brought its network there with foremost digital television network company StarTimes also launching its DTT platform.

Director-General of NTA, Mr. Maxwell Loko who flagged off the event, revealed that NTA STARTIMES is present in about 80 cities in Nigeria and Daura as cradle of the Hausa state is not left out. 
‘’Now the good people of Daura will have the opportunity to enjoy digital life with small amount of money. They can now watch beautiful television contents that will educate and entertain them under different TV stations especially NTA Hausa, Farin wata TV, Dadin Kowa TV, Liberty TV and so many other interesting TV channels like NTA Parliament, a platform that enables the people to interact with their representatives; as well as those of Indian movies, news and current affairs,’’
The event which was spiced with cultural displays and drama, had popular comedian, Mr MC Tagwaye on parade who added colour to the day’s activities as he mimicked President Buhari in voice, character and attitude as he delivered a s speech urging the people of Daura to patronize StarTimes, stressing its affordability and quality.
‘’The platform’s model television is very easy to install and watch and it has moving from the urban centres to the rural areas so as to sustain the customers’ enjoyment of digital entertainment,’’ Mr Loko added.
Mohammad Alhaji Nanu, representative of National Broadcasting Corporation, expressed joy 2with the coming of StarTimes to Daura, noting that the initiative will enable the people to have the chances of being part of global entertainment and news.
Other lovers of the network also expressed their gratitude with its coming to Daura after sharing their good experiences of using it, emphasizing that StarTimes is one of the best DTT decoder for family entertainment.
Organisers of the event, the Farin wata TV management led by Umar Faruk Musa, expressed their readiness to keep delivering interesting Hausa movies and documentaries for the enjoyment of the subscribers.
