Kurious K. Premiers ‘Shallow Mirage’





 Nollywood top director and producer, Agubom Kingsley popularly known as Kurious K has finally kicked off his world campaign against teenage pregnancy with the world premiere of his latest movie titled, 'Shallow Mirage.'

The event which took place at the National Arts Theatre, Lagos, on 27th November 2016 attracted a lot of dignitaries and Nollywood veterans. The event which was chaired by top actor, Adeyemi Lawrence (Baba Suara) attracted impressive attendance and patronage from National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Fair Life Africa Foundation. Many distinguished artiste that performed at the occasion includes; Gas Koker, Newlife, Ibukun Ogunyemi, Leonard Fidelis, Mike Longe and KKA Arts Academy drama troupe. The ceremony was anchored by a porpular  actor and MC, Livi Okadigbo. The movie 'Shallow Mirage' was reviewed by Dr. Stella Ahunanya.

Nollywood veteran, Chief Larry Williams (MFR) in his speech commended the convener of the ceremony, Kurious K for his efforts in putting together a project that will really touch the lives of people and promised to support the movement to any level.
Ufuoma Emerhor, CEO Fair Life Africa Foundation in her speech also expressed her satisfaction and promised to support the project.
The organizer of the movie premiere 'Kurious K'  who is also the director and producer of  ‘Shallow Mirage’ and CEO of Kurious K Agubom Production and KKA Arts Academy, in his remark lamented that the problems our teenagers face in society motivated him to establish this laudable project that gave birth to 'Shallow Mirage.'

Kurious K further expressed that theatre is a basic tool for total reformation and that is why he has decided to use drama to create the awareness.
"A lot of our female teenagers drop out of school and cannot achieve their big dreams in life due to teenage unwanted pregnancy. We have come to create awareness about the dangers of promiscuity and also to suggest some possible solutions to the problems.
We are going to take the campaign to secondary schools, churches, cinemas e,t.c."
‘Shallow Mirage’ talks about a female teenager, Chioma who was lured into unwanted pregnancy due to peer pressure from her friends.
The movie also exposes the challenges she faced in her pregnancy. ‘Shallow Mirage’ finally suggests solutions to teenage pregnancy problems. The mission of this project is to re-orient our teenagers about the dangers/consequences of teenage pregnancy, and as well to raise funds which will be used to support some of our female teenagers who are victims of teenage pregnancy.
