It Is Only in Nigeria You Have Different Dollar Rates - Bishop Okonkwo

Bishop Mike Okonkwo has urged Christians to always attract praise inspite of the recession in the country.

Okonkwo who is the General Overseer of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) made this observation at the just yearly thanksgiving of the management of the Sun Publising Limited, Kirikiri Apapa.

Citing copiously from the scriptures, Okonkow said: “When you give thanks, you release the supernatural power. Today we have a word where things are going from bad to worse. The devil is out to destroy and he is really fighting hard. Our economy is going crazy. It is only in Nigeria you have different dollar rates. So, how then do we overcome for God’s saving grace? Companies have closed down, many have been laid off, it is not about your experience or a connection that you where you are today, but it is because God has shown you mercy. The truth is that God likes it when he is appreciated in the midst of adversities. Thanksgiving is the only expression of faith and total trust in God.”

Earlier, the Managing Director/Editor in Chief, Mr. Eric Osagie hasd noted that 2016 was particularly a tough year in the Nigeria’s business climate but was full of appreciation to God for seeing and the staff through it.
