Nigeria’s showbiz players, followers and stakeholders would readily confirm that 20 years ago, no one imagined that we would come this far in the film, music and allied sectors. But today, the success story cannot be told in a hurry.

While the country has become the third largest producer of with the Nollywood industry, the musicians have attained international standards and now compete favourably with their counterparts outside, as well as engage in collaborative projects with them.

And using same as a peg, Don Stanley Evbadoloyi, author, motivational speaker, researcher and founder of Friends of God Kokoye (FGK) Initiative, a platform that is out to positively impact the lives of millions of people, especially the youths, said that there is still hope for all and sundry.

According to him, at the unveil of the platform recently, a programme called "Save Nigeria to Save the Children Yet Unborn’’ has been factored into the initiative, a development project for the nation and for the children yet unborn.
Saving Nigeria is not complicated, it is very simple. If our leaders can do the right thing and the citizens also do the right thing, we will all make our nation great,’’ he opened up.

Don Evbadoloyi who spoke before a large crowd that consisted of talents of different callings and who showed a lot of interest and enthusiasm, explained that the thrust of the initiative is to educate, encourage and engage the youths to fear God, do the right thing to save Nigeria.

"We are already on course and have direct contacts with schools across the country with the students keying into the programme. And it is one that has nothing to do with tribe or culture but about humanity. It is also not about me but Nigeria, Africa and the rest of the world.’’

Although Mr. Evbadoloyi who is also widely-travelled, has been conducting and sponsoring the affairs of the initiative, a non Governmental Organization (NGO), single-handedly, he  confessed that it is too capital intensive for one person to tackle.

"We shall seek the assistance and support of government at all levels, corporate organizations and bodies and influential individuals to achieve the desired result,’’ he stated.

The Friends of God Kokoye (FGK) Initiative, Don predicted, will become a global platform, in future.
