2019: Atiku Banks On Youth…May Dump APC

As preparations for the 2019 elections hots up, former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar may dump the All Progressives Congress (APC) to actualize his presidential ambition.

Feelers reaching samurahh.com has it that yesterday, the former Vice President held a closed door meeting with the national leader, national chairman as well as top members of the Young Democratic Party (YDP) for close to two hours.

It was gathered that the meeting is not unconnected with the realization of his presidential ambition in 2019 since it is very obvious that President Buhari may not run for a second term due to ill health.

According to the source, the romance with YDP was borne from the realization of the fact that since both the PDP and APC have lost steam and may not likely get the sympathy of Nigerians due to recession which has made many families unable to meet up with their obligations, the best bet is the YDP which is gradually and steadily gaining grounds in the political space.

It was also gathered that Atiku promised to make sure that the party has offices in all of the wards of the federation.

The source added: “ You can see how the country is in disarray. Things are worse off and the best bet for Nigerians is Atiku who has voiced his intention and put in action to run for president. He is capable to take us to the promised land. It is obvious that he too is not happy with the situation of things. Atiku is known all over the country and beyond to have been empowering the youths regardless of where you are from. The old politicians have failed this country, I think it is high time, we get our acts right once and for all. And the only acceptable Nigerian who has been tested and trusted is Atiku.
Let me ask this question; why is it that these old men don’t want him to be president ever since he decided to run? Does it mean that he has what they do not have to run this country well? Anyways, this time round, he has made up his mind to abandon them and work with the youths and I bet you, the youths will deliver.”
