Hurray As Ojeh Emerges President Of Our House Club

It was celebration galore at Winnis, Surulere yesterday as Ekene Godwin Ojeh hosted friends and well wishers on the occasion of his victory as the first president of Our House Club.

The election which was recently conducted in an atmosphere of friendliness also produced members of the executive that would pilot the affairs of the club in the next one year.

While thanking and also soliciting for the co-operation of members, elated Ojeh spoke to about his plans for the club.

He said: “This is the beginning of good things to come. We have been in existence before now but we didn’t formalize it. Now we have a constitution, Whatssap group and we are working for its registration. It is an association set for greatness. Our platform that has people from all walks of life. For instance, I am a printer. There are actors, producers, directors, business men and women of different endeavours, among others. We intend to become a pressure group that will seek and contribute to the progress of our immediate community which will extend to the society at large.

“Just yesterday, somebody approached me to see one of the aspirants vying for the post of the local government chairman at the forthcoming local government election, I told that person to tell whoever it is to come and see us. You see the immediate recognition? We are very serious. I have pleaded with my members to obtain to get their voters card and vote. Things must get better.
By the time we will be celebrating the end of year party, we will do something for this street.”

Also speaking, Izu Onyemenam, patron of Our House Club added his voice. “I am of the opinion that being positive in life is the way to go. Being negative is the worst thing that can happen to any human being. I have always had the passion of bringing people together to promote peace and progressive and that is what we just did. I am happy that we have finally decided to come together and with commitment and determination Our House will be a force to reckon with. I thank everyone for making it a success.”
