Tecno Wins Best Phone Brand Of The Year Award




Mobile Phone giant TECNO MOBILE, has been adjudged ‘The Pan African Mobile Brand Phone Of The Year’ by the organizers of the prestigious Titans of Tech Awards last weekend in Lagos. The award was one of the highpoints of the 2017 edition of the ceremony. 


The event had the Minister of Communications Barr. Adebayo Shittu, former Governor of Delta State Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, Olorogun James Emadoye, president of the Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON) Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, former president of Association of Telecoms Companies of Nigeria, Chief Wale Kalejaiye, Chairman, Impulse Technologies, Tony Ojobo, Director, Public Affairs, Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) Amos Emmanuel, Director Africa, Global Digital Foundation among other high caliber dignitaries in attendance. 



According to the organizers, the award was bestowed on Tecno Mobile for its knack for innovative products and consistent provision of innovative services.  In a citation read by Don Pedro Aganbi, Executive Secretary, Award Board – Titans of Tech Award, “Tecno Mobile has earned a genuine reputation as a leading mobile phone brand in Nigeria and indeed across the African Continent. The Mobile Phone giant has over the years demonstrated a  rare commitment to giving its customers world class products and support and helping them stay connected to the world wide web”.

Presenting the “PAN AFRICAN MOBILE PHONE BRAND OF THE YEAR AWARD” to Tecno, the president of the Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON), Olorogun James Emadoye, commended tecno for revolutionizing the African Mobile phone market with the introduction of dual SIM smartphone. It is not surprising therefore that the tecno brand of phones are in high demand across the African continent. Olorogun Emadoye said.

Now in its 12th year, the Titans of Tech Awards seek to recognize and celebrate Organisations, personalities and Institutions who blaze the trail and pushed the frontier in the use of Information Communications Technologies (ICTs) to improve the way of life in our communities. It is an avenue to put on the pedestal men who have etched their footprint on the marble of time for the good of Nigeria and Nigerians.
