Edo Festival And Awards 2017 To Showcase Benin Comic Act

This year's edition of the annual Edo Festival and Awards is billed for 4th November and one of the plethora of stars that would be on the stage is comic act, Frank Osarumwense Joseph (aka MC Kpolo).

MC Kpolo specialises in cracking jokes in his indigenous Benin language.
Sources close to the organisers of the programme disclosed that the comic act has  also been shortlisted for an award of recognition at the event.

The 24 year old wisecrack started his journey into fame while still in primary school at age 12 years.

Presently, a show in any part of Benin without MC Kpolo performing is not worth it.
Going down memory lane, the comic act recalled an embarrassing incident  when a female fan requested that he should sing one of Celine Dion's classics in Benin language. The lady was dumbfounded as MC Kpolo could not sing the song.

The act stressed that his fans are always expressing their love for his performance using his local Benin language.

On what could be considered as the highest fees he has ever collected for a performance, the comedian said that it varies from parcels of land to N400,000 "all depends on my relationship with my client."

He gave a thumbs up to the organisers of the Edo Festival and Awards for nominating him for the prestigious award. He promised that he will never disappoint them.
MC Kpolo gave a hint that he'll give a performance that will be a talk-of-the-town for a long time to come.
