A Christian Marriage Is Incomplete Without Wedding – Rev Maduka
Christian
couples have been advised to ensure that they complete every obligation that
bind them together as husband and wife which usually ends with is solemnization
in holy matrimony at the church to enjoy God’s blessings.
Rev. Maduka Ugwueze Maduka Cletus of the
Christ Holy Church International Ikeja-Lagos made the admonition at a recent
group wedding ceremony at the church which involved six couples.
According to
Rev. Maduka, there is no superiority or otherwise difference between a group
wedding and a private as they serve the same purpose before God by making such
couples complete before God.
"In Christ
Holly Church, couples who are not wedded are disqualified from taking the holy
communion and whoever does not receive it here are earth cannot be part of it
in heaven," he explained.
He added
that contrary to insinuations in some quarters, group wedding is not for the
less privileged but an annual exercise for couples who may have joined the
church after their marriage or under similar circumstances.
He noted
that a Christian marriage is incomplete without wedding because; "wedding is a
sacrament that transforms same to become sacred and holy."
Wedding,
Rev. Maduka who is in charge of Ikeja District that comprises of Agege, Agege
and Ebule Egba, emphasized, also helps couples to enjoy the fullness of God’s
mercy and love in their union.
