Kitchen Butterfly, Alliance Française De Lagos Organise Second Edition of ‘A Table!’

Alliance Française all over the world aims at teaching French, promoting French and Francophone cultures as well as cultural diversity. With that in mind, Alliance Française Lagos has teamed up with Ozoz Sokoh of Kitchen Butterfly to come up with ‘A Table!’ -  a FREE event that sheds light on the similarities and differences between French and Nigerian cuisines and more widely between Francophone and Anglophone cuisines.

The event comes up on Thursday 17, May at The Roots, 35, Raymond Njoku, Off Awolowo road, Ikoyi by 6;30pm.

Ozoz Sokoh is a food explorer and exploration geologist who is passionate about food – cooking, eating, dreaming, writing and photographing it, especially on her blog, Kitchen Butterfly. She is well known to have coined the phrase 'The New Nigerian Kitchen' in 2013.
She has in-depth knowledge of Nigerian food’s History and its evolution.

For this second edition of ‘A Table!’ we will focus on bread, one element indissociable from French Cuisine. Ozoz Sokoh from Kitchen Butterfly Alex Oke of XO Boutique Bakery and Billura of Cuisine Chez Billura will join us as we discuss the importance of bread in France, Nigeria and beyond!

What a best venue to host this event than The Roots, a restaurant located inside the Ethnic Heritage Centre?! Indeed the restaurant, the centre and Alliance Française de Lagos, all share a common goal to celebrate and promote cultural diversity. Do not miss what promises to be a night of great food, enlightening discussions and cultural appreciation.
