…As Chris Giwa Resumes



The atmosphere at the glasshouse boiled up when on Monday 2nd July, Chris Giwa board resumes as the authentic NFF president with armed policemen to enforce the Supreme Court judgement which recognized him as president.


Christopher Giwa arrived at the glasshouse around 11am and went straight to the offices to greet the staff on duty at the NFF office before addressing them in the board room.


Speaking with journalists in Abuja, Giwa said, he will not waste time deliberating on what has gone, thus roll out plans as to how Nigerian football will not remain where it is today. He promised to support the all the national teams particularly the Falconets  that will be at the FIFA Women U-20 World cup in France next month.


He also said that the his board has no plan in disrupting the Nigerian Professional Football League as they are preparing to kick off again due to world cup break.


"We are here today by the virtue of mandate we got at the Annual General Assembly of the NFF that took place on 26th August 2014 at Chida hotel, where we elected into the NFF Executive Committee to serve for four years.


" We have plans on ground for all the national teams which we will roll after our next board  meeting on Friday. I know that Nigerians want result and my prayer is to get the needed positive results for all the national teams. Though, it is one thing to have a good plan and programs and another thing to get the needed result but I know with God on our side, our national teams will make all Nigerians proud once again." 


Chris Giwa also spoke on the Nigerian Football League as he promised not to disrupt the status quo as he hopes the league resumes soonest.‎
