Eulogies As Bambino Goes Home (Photos)

It was not particularly a happy mood at the Ojez Entertainemnt Centre, national stadium Surulere on Tuesday, 24, July when practitioners of the motion industry paid tribute to the memory of one of their colleague, late Anachina Chukwudi Bambino.
The solemnity of the environment said it all.

Family members, friends, well wishers, business associates and colleagues took time to say things they know about him. But one constant truth about the late Bambino according to all of those who spoke was the fact that he was not only a true friend, confidant but a selfless professional.

This truth played out when his best friend who left Nigeria less than a month returned from his base in Dublin to pay his last respect. Another flew in from Europe, while another, the U.S.

It was a personal loss for the national president of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Mr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas as Bambino was not only the Secretary to the Special Assistants (SAs) to Rollas but he was a schoolmate, a personal friend and brother. Fighting back tears Rollas reeled out the sterling qualities of Bambino and bade him farewell.

John Okafor aka Mr. Ibu, Chigozie Atuanya, Kingsley Ogbonna aka Dauda, Odenjinji, Chief Remmy Ohanjianya, Prince Ifeanyi Dike, Sunny Macdon W, Jennifer Eliogu, Zilly Tete, Mr. Frank, among many others took turns to pay tribute to their beloved friend.

The occasion which was ably compered by Austino Milado and Matthew Nwankwo earlier had Pastor Francis Asam from the Cornerstone Church, Aguda encourage the gathering of their hope in Christ. Bambino was a staunch member of the church.

There was a procession earlier from the Marsha roundabout to the national stadium.
Others at the wake keep included Endee Ikeji, Charles Inojie, Victor Osuagwu, Honourable Desmond Elliot, Frank Dallas Gloria Mba, Zeb Ejiro, Opa Williams, Alex Enyengho, Ejike Asiegbu, Alozie Uzoukwu, Victor Emeghara, St. Maradona, Tarry West, Shuaibu Hussein, Ben Njoku, Sheddi Baba, Cornel Udofia, Ken Odunukwe, Emeka Rising, Don Pedro Aganbi(Chairman AGN, Lagos), Tony Akposheri, Benedict Johnson, among many others.

The wake was orgainsed by the AGN under the auspices of Daddy Monso, Ifeoma Okeke, Ijeoma Imoh, Chukky Egbu, Emama, Debby, Juliana Nwankwo, austino Milano, Chichi.

Apart from his immense contributions to the motion picture industry, the late Bambino was a dear friend and mentor to so many. His remains would be laid to rest on Friday August 3 after a wake keep on Thursday, August 2, 2018 in Awka, Anambra State.

May his gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace!
